Only Frank Ocean has the tone of voice that makes you want to have your heart broken so you can cry about it and shave your head “because it's freeing”.

Following up to his earlier dual singles “In My Room” and “DHL”, Frank dropped 2 more gems for us – “Cayendo (Side A – Acoustic)” and “Dear April (Side A – Acoustic).

Frank has always been an elusive figure in the music industry, hearing from him is the equivalent of finding a $20 bill in the laundry – it just doesn’t happen enough. Typically when an artist takes hiatus as frequently as Frank, they come back with a radio smash but Frank’s music remains untainted by the pressures of the music industry (which we appreciate).

Cayendo (Side A – Acoustic) is a beautiful bilingual ballet that is grounded by an addictive “I still really really love you” chorus. Majority of this track is performed in Spanish but the vibes are easily felt and understood.

Who is April? What did she do to Frank? Where did she go? Is this a metaphor for the month of April? We are not sure what Dear April (Side A – Acoustic) is exactly about but it stays on repeat. The song feels like unrequited love and a longing for a moment when things made sense.

If these single are tracks from his highly anticipated 3rd studio album, this is definitely going to be one for the books (again). However, regardless of our severe withdrawal symptoms, Frank releases music whenever he wants and we love him for it.

Cayendo (Side A – Acoustic) and Dear April (Side A – Acoustic) are currently available to stream on all major platforms.
